Annals          Surin National Museum was first established in 1974 by the idea of the former Surin' s governor in order to keep and exhibited art objects and ancient objects of Surin Province. These objects were first exhibited at Surin city hall and moved to Surin educational office after that.          In 1992, The Fine Arts Department has prepared the plan to develop and overhaul this museum, then the supporting budget was allocated to construct the new building. The construction of Surin National Museum building was started since 1995 at Ban Nongtao, Tambon Chaniang, Amphoe Muang, Changwat Surin. It is now proceeding the exhibition and other facilities such as auditorium, children room, Storehouse, Etc.
