Kamphaeng Phet National Museum is situated between Kamphaeng Phet Pithayakom School and Kamphaeng Phet Province Museum commemorating the Golden Jubilee of Majesty the King Bhumibol (Rama IX) accession to the throne, Pin - Damri Road, Kampheng Phet province. The Fine Arts Department has assigned the museum for collecting, preserving and display the ancient and art objects, which were discovered from the archaeological sites and the ancient monuments in Kampheang Phet. So, this site museum is the education's centre of archaeology, history and art of the local.

           The museum was opened to the public on March 19th , 1971 by the minister of Ministry of Education, Mr.Sukit Nimanhemindra. The building is designed in central Thai traditional style.
