The museum exhibition comprises two parts.
The first floor
exhibition presents the history and archaeology of Chainat.
The
exhibits in this gallery include ornaments of the prehistoric and Dvaravati
periods, Buddha images of various styles, and religious objects such
as Buddhist text cabinets, Buddhist monks’ belongings, sculptures, ceramics
of the Lopburi, Ayutthaya and Rattanakosin periods, and Chinese ceramics.
The
second floor exhibition features votive tablets found at archaeological
sites
in Thailand, in the Dvaravati, Sri Vijaya, Lopburi, Ayutthaya, and Rattanakosin
styles. The collection also includes molds used for making votive tablets,
wooden votive tablet niches, and bronze Buddha images.
