This
building was built when the Prince Successor to King Rama I, Maha
Surasinghanat, built the Palace of the Prince Successor. Originally
used as and Audience Hall, it now houses the Thai History Gallery.

SUKHOTHAI

The Sukhothai Gallery displays exhibits explaining the historical
background to Sukhothai, the architectural style of Sukhothai, irrigation
in the Sukhothai period and Sukhothai ceramics.

AYUTHAYA PERIOD
The Ayutthaya Gallery describes the historical background to Ayutthaya
and important events of the period.
The diorama
depicts an important event in ThaiHistory, when the Burmese army
conquered Ayutthayain 1548 AD.

The exhibitions in this gallery include depictions of historical
events during the Bangkok period and Royal tributes.
