Permanent Exhibition
The Celebration Room : the King's Paintings
This area
is the first area at the main entrance where the paintings of the
two Thai kings who have a great talent in art are displayed, set
of water color paintings portrayed the play "Sakuntala"
by His Majesty King Vajiravudth, and the works of His Majesty King
Bhumiphol Adulyadej in witch graceiously lent to the National Gallery
in 1987.

The area display
works in modern art from the time this kind of art introduced to
the country in which contain of artworks from the Thai pioneer artists
such as Professor Silpa Bhirasri, Kien Yimsiri, Fua Haribitak, Misiem
Yipinsoi, Sawadi Tantisook and etcContemporary Artists Room
The contemporary period from 1967 until the present day is represented
by pieces from the famous artists of the younger generation such
as Chakabhan Posayakrit, Pratuang Emjarern, Nontiwat Chanthanapalin
and etc.
Traditional Thai art
The exhibition is taken the second floor area of the front building
displayed old and precious works from the past including banners,
copy paintings of the old mural from the temples wall, and the paintings
from the early Bangkok period.

The National
Gallery also provides a space for temporary exhibition in which
opens for various programs from quality artists in residence and
aboard on view to the public every month..
